Please complete the required information below to register for Bromley Internet Access. The Bromley Hall Network Acceptable Use Policy can be found below the registration form. Please read it.
1. It is a felony to attempt to intercept, capture, alter, or interfere in any way with information or network packets on local, campus or global network pathways or to attempt to obtain system privileges to which you are not entitled. 2. No commercial servers are allowed on your computer. 3. No political messages are to be served from your computer. 4. No malicious, harassing, threatening, offensive, hostile or libelous messages are to originate from your computer. 5. No abuse of bandwidth or attempts to get around security gaps will be tolerated. 6. No FTP, news, web, IRC or other types of servers are allowed. 7. No distribution of copyrighted material is allowed. 8. No MP3 servers/clients are allowed, as they use too much bandwidth. 9. No pornographic material may be shared on the network as it uses too much bandwidth. 10. No chain letters, pyramid schemes, or multi level marketing services are to originate or be propagated from/to your computer. 11. Students may not use any person's name other than their own in sharing and/or naming folders and/or files. 12. No remote administration tools may be used on the network. 13. No viruses, worms, or Trojan Horses are to be stored or transferred across the network. Worms found on a user's machine may be grounds for termination of services. 14. Each room is limited to 2000 MB of combined uploads/downloads per day. 15. There are to be no attempts to change the hardware or MAC address on any machine on the network or to initiate port scans or service scans. 16. Your network and internet connection are a privilege and not a right. The disconnection and reconnection of your network connection is at the sole discretion of the network administrators and the Bromley Hall staff. 17. This policy can be altered at any time by the Bromley Hall management or the network administration staff. Notices of changes will be emailed to the email address we have on file for you. All notices, once sent, will be considered received whether or not they actually are received.
